New Visa regulations as of 2009 means easy travel for IMI students

Schengen

The Federal Council decided on a new regulation for any permit B holder (students at IMI). This means, that for all B- or C- Permit holders, it is much easier to travel around in Europe. There will be no necessarity anymore to get Visas for short holidays in the Schengen Countries like Germany, Austria, Italy or France. Nontheless prior to every travell you should get information from the ambassy of the country you intend to travel to about any regulations. Of course it is also necessity to bring Passports and Swiss Permits.
