IMI Postgraduate Diploma in International Hotel and Events Management
Requirements for Admission
Unrelated Degree, Diploma or other relevant qualifications or experience.
IMI considers strong motivation and maturity to be as important as academic qualifications.
A level of English sufficient to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma (e.g. 5.5IELTS or equivalent).
Applicants who do not have the required level of English may join the 4 week Intensive English Certificate (IEC).
Who is this programme for?
This 5 month intensive course is designed for students with qualifications and/or experience in other subjects who wish to pursue a career in the hospitality industry by following a flexible but intensive period of study.
Programme objective and content
The programme's objective is to equip students who have limited or no experience of the hospitality industry with the practical and management skills necessary for entry level positions in hotel, events and related industries. The core focus is operational and integrative management with subjects including food and beverage operations, front office management and the business development of hospitality organisations and events management. Core subjects include Personal Development Planning, Financial Management, Human Resource Management and Food and Beverage Services.
Awards
Students successfully passing this course will receive a Postgraduate Diploma in International Hotel and Events Management, awarded by IMI.

There are 2 intakes per year possible in 2012 and 4 as of 2013.
