"Your event company is bidding to win the contract to organise and manage the promotion of the Smart Car Companies Micro Hybrid Drive (MHD) Car." this is how the objective of Mr Gareth Currie's event class was introduced to this project. To ensure most possible reality to the project we not only had a SMART Hybrid on campus but Sales Manager from Smart Luzern Mr Patrick Liechti was part of the jurors. ![]() Essentially all groups had 10 minutes in groups assuming the role of an event company to show us their creative ideas for the launch of the Smart Car. Whichever group gets the highest academic mark for their efforts was declared winners. Enjoy here the animated pictures The event must take place on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 in Luzern. The launch must incorporate a live event for a minimum of 300 members of the public. A variety of industry professionals, government ministers and VIP's will be invited and must be suitably catered for throughout the event. The event concept and design must be unique, exciting and create brand awareness. The event must encapsulate the image, branding, customer profile and ethos of the Smart Car. It is anticipated that the event will create high media interest. Task Note 1: You may have to make some assumptions as part of this task.
