IMI is delighted to have been chosen by Presence Suisse of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by Luzern Tourismus AG to be its hospitality ambassador at the Olympic Games to be held in Beijing in 2008. Luzern – «the City, the Lake and the Mountains» – is the heartland of the Swiss tourism industry.

The operational management of the Food and beverage outlets will be the responsibility of Gamma Catering AG who will recruit staff from IMI and César Ritz Colleges. Gamma Catering successfully ran the restaurant at the Swiss Pavilion during the Aichi World Exposition in Japan and will do likewise at the Shanghai 2010 World Expo. It is a great chance for the students to gain experience while working with experts in international event catering and to so, enhance their career opportunities.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the House of Switzerland earns a reputation as the premier dining experience in the Olympic village. Together with Luzern Tourismus AG, the School will showcase the high standards which are associated with Switzerland and its hospitality industry.
