SIM – IMI: Degrees in Hotel and/or Tourism Management and Culinary Arts

The SIM-IMI partnership is the first collaboration between a Swiss hospitality institution and a Singapore school.  This partnership provides students greater access to a quality degree programme in hospitality from Switzerland, the birthplace of tourism and hotel management.  Students will get to experience both education in Singapore and Switzerland, and enjoy the opportunity for work placement in Switzerland.

SIM, the Singapore Institute of Management, is Singapore’s premier management and human resource development organisation.  For over 40 years, SIM has contributed significantly to Singapore’s human capital development.

SIM offers the widest range of high quality academic programmes in Singapore through its partnership with established international universities and institutions from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Switzerland. With an enrolment exceeding 14,000, SIM offers more than 50 academic programmes at postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma and certificate levels.

Three degree programmes are offered through the SIMI-IMI partnership, namely, Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel & Tourism Management, International Hotel Management and European Culinary Management.  Students of these programmes will attain a dual award on completion of their studies, one from IMI and another awarded by the Manchester Metropolitan University.

Graduates will be ready to join the hospitality industry at junior management, supervisory and management trainee levels.
