The International Hotel Management Institute (IMI) has fully equipped and spacious accommodation at reasonable rents with flexible periods of stay available now. Ideal for students who wish to rent for the short to midterm only. Rental price includes all costs, shared kitchen and wireless Internet. We have 3 different places, one in Horw and 2 in Luzern. Summer and Winter - Not only will you be studying in one of Switzerland's most beautiful environments, but thanks to IMI's Student Activities Coach, our students have the chance to chill out between studies and get themselves into various sporting activities. IMI students can join in and experience traditional as well as XXX-sports in winter and summer. Every semester IMI students have an ever popular IMI Sportsday where they can compete amongst themselves as well as with IMI staff members in sports such as Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Tug of War, Badminton, Chess, Pool, Table Tennis and more. The winnersreceive medals that are given during thegraduation ceremony.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided from 7 days a week. We serve a large variety of different food, meet, fish, fresh vegetables, salads, soups and sweets are prepared by our 4 chefs every day. We try to support the local farmer community and only use fresh ingredients. Students can decide to eat in either the self service buffet restaurant or the classical "Swiss Room" restaurant.
"Living inside a postcard!". While studying at IMI, students are accommodated in single or twin rooms, with a breathtaking view of either Lake Lucerne, or the Alps. We do have 180+ on-campus rooms and 80+ off campus in town (12 minutes by bus). We suggest new students to be on camous and if later they wish more proximity to the city, they may consider one of 3 off campus living options.
All our rooms are equipped with TV and refrigerators and most with a direct phone line where students can be reached directly in their rooms. This line only receives external incoming calls but can also be used internally.

IMI has study rooms which are available 24 hours a day and are equipped with an Internet link and individual e-mail facilities for students. Wireless computing with 24 hour internet access is also available at the school free of charge. IMI's own IT Services assist students free of charge with all matters concerning their laptops. The use of the printer in each computer room is also free of charge; paper is available for sale at the Reception.
The school has demonstration and production kitchens, spacious and well-equipped classrooms, restaurants, self-service laundry facilities, a fitness room and lounge areas.
There is a well-stocked library with a regularly updated supply of books, professional magazines ,CD-ROM reference materials and on-line access to publication databases including EBSCO. Various online systems and libraries gives access to thousands of professional journals.
