It was great to welcome our first new intake of students for 2023 onto campus to start their Swiss study adventure with us here at IMI...

At the heart of everything we do at IMI, is a focus on ensuring our students' future success in the industry.
Whether they choose to pursue a traditional hospitality career and opt to branch out into different fields, our Careers team work tirelessly to provide them with personalised opportunities.
Of course, this level of service would not be possible without an extensive global network and strong relationships with our industry partners.
IMI is proud to place graduates at some of the world's leading hospitality brands.
In order to further strengthen these connections, we held a special industry lunch on campus where we invited some of our key Swiss-based employers to enjoy a fine-dining experience in our Swiss Room restaurant.
Representatives from hospitality giants Marriott and Hyatt as well as Swiss boutique brands The Living Circle, Bürgenstock Resort and Hermitage were joined by exclusive watch and jewellery producer Les Ambassadeurs for the four-course lunch.
Our guests were welcomed with a meet-and-greet apéro before enjoying an international menu which explored all corners of the globe, expertly prepared by our culinary arts students.
Alongside our Careers and Internships team, IMI CEO Prof. Gavin Caldwell and Academic Dean Mr. Currie joined the lunch to share their thoughts and industry insights with our guests and check-up on the progress of our students currently on placement with them.
Commenting on the success of the lunch, IMI’s Internships Manager Tobias Meyer said: “This was an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our already close ties with industry partners.”
“Being able to welcome them on campus and showcase our students’ excellent hospitality first-hand was a real privilege and we look forward to working even more closely together with all our visitors going forward,” he added.
We hope that this event will be the first of many where we are able to build stronger connections with the industry and thus offer even more exciting future prospects to our students.
